I have worked with Maria for the past 12 years. I have been able to utilize her as a mentor and coach as I have developed in my supervisory role. I have taken several classes taught by Maria, including Influencing Skills. Maria is a knowledgeable, interesting instructor and she gives current examples that are applicable in all areas of my life. I left Influencing Skills with the ability to implement practical and immediately useable skills and I have experienced immediate positive results with numerous relationships. Maria is a well rounded instructor and she applies these skills to both her personal and professional life. Maria teaches the types of skills that go beyond the class room.

I have worked as a Facilitator with Maria for approximately eight years. During that time she has been a mentor, co-facilitator and friend. She provides energy and enthusiasm in the classroom! She brings real life experiences to the material that bring it to life and allows the students to have "take a ways" that many other Instructors do not provide. She does not hesitate to challenge her students by truly engaging them to allow them to make the connections with the concepts and really grasp the materials. Maria not only assists her students in the learning process but is willing to share her wealth of knowledge with other facilitators. She continually attends training to improve her skills so that she can provide a top quality product to her students. It is always a pleasure and a privilege to work with Maria in and out of the classroom.

Attending the two-day Influencing Skills seminar was definitely a good investment. The instruction by Maria Agnew was thought-provoking as well as educational. Her methods of engaging the attendees in interactive participation worked extremely well; and her own anecdotal examples were lighthearted, amusing and instructional. Confrontation without conflict is a learned skill; it does not come naturally to most of us. Effective confrontation in personal or business relationships, as employee or employer, is paramount to the successful survival of that relationship. In my practice as an attorney, using the influencing skills has already improved my relationships with clients and opposing counsel. This course can improve relationships in all walks of life. I heartily encourage anyone interested in improving their business or personal relationships to take Ms. Agnew’s course.Linda M. Slade-Attorney at Law
Maria’s teaching abilities and experience in her field makes her a dynamic speaker and trainer. Her course material is right on target I recently had the opportunity to attend Maria’s PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COURSE. The intended audience is Supervisors, Managers, & Leaders. I was so impressed with Maria’s presentation I ask had her deliver her course to our Type II All Hazard Incident Management Team of 50 folks. I highly recommend these Professional Development Courses for all people who would like to increase their leadership effectiveness in all areas of your life.

Being a student of Maria's, I have found the lessons I learned from her to be skills I apply every day. As a result, I have better professional relationships with my team members and have watched their performance levels increase. Maria's teaching of the four core components for communications, Respect, Empathy, Specificity and Genuineness. What a simple concept with fantastic results. A must class for anyone where communications is a vital part of business. After our Incident Management Team training were Maria taught on the core components of communications, Respect Empathy, Specificity and Genuineness.
